I bought this TV from Best Buy in May 08, and after nearly 2 years of use i could not be happier with this thing. it looks virtually as good as it did the first day i brought it home.

i bought it knowing that i'd eventually have to replace the lamp, (which i'm okay with) and honestly i though i would have been forced to do that by now, but i'm glad to say that so far i have not.

i use this tv the way a lot people purchasing it will, video games and movies. i have a ps3, 360, and a wii all connected to it and they all look great. (well.. the wii looks descent, not great. but that's not the TV's fault) bluray movies and 1080p games all look incredible. there are multiple hdmi and component inputs, so you'll have no problem connecting all of your HD devices.

the sound is okay on this TV, but i have a sound system connected to mine.. i prefer a thundering bass. :]

overall, i think this is a worthy purchase. you'll spend a lot more money buying a comparable LCD or LED TV.

PLEASE DO A WEB SEARCH FOR (SAMSUNG WHITE DOT PROBLEM) MAJOR ISSUE HERE!!!!! IT USUALLY DOES NOT HAPPEN TILL ABOUT 1.5 - 2.5 YEARS BUT IT DOES HAPPEN ALOOOOOOOOOT! SOMETIMES THEY ARE COVERING IT AND SOMETIMES THEY ARE NOT.
DON'T BE THE ONE THEY ARE NOT COVERING. JUST DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THIS ONE.

Purchased this unit 3/31/08 - was greatly pleased - until the Logic Pcb had to be replaced 7/9/09 0.00 - just yesterday the unit went completely blank - no picture - no sound - no static sound - no fuzzy static screen. what now??? we will NEVER purchase a big ticket item via internet/amazon - update 2/23/10 - it's been suggested the lamp needs to be replaced - locally 0 - via bestbuyonlinepartsdept. 7.00 - I surely hope that's the end of this nightmare. fingers crossed!

I've had this TV for two years and have not had one issue. If you are making a purchase of this type of TV then you should have a surround sound system to match, receiver, sub-woofer, speakers, etc.

The speakers are horrible on this set but that is the only issue.

The setup is easy, the picture quality is on point, the blacks are great, no problem with bowing, have not had to replace any bulb yet (knock on wood).

This was my first flat screen HD TV and couldn't be happier, got a great price, not heavy to move, the shipping was free through Amazon at the time.

My PS3 games look fabulous as well as the Blue-Ray Movies.

I highly recommend this TV if you are looking at DLP, perfect fit for a decent size living room/area.
